Free Legal Services for UMCP graduate students

We provide free legal information, consultations, referrals, and brief assistance to individual graduate students on a wide range of both off-campus and university matters.
We cannot represent students in court.

We also cannot provide assistance or get involved in legal disputes between two or more graduate students.
We cannot evaluate the merits of purely academic issues and cannot intervene with professors, advisors, or departments on academic matters.

We do not handle specialized areas such as immigration, bankruptcy, business law, intellectual property law or criminal defense.  However, we can help you evaluate your situation and refer you to appropriate outside resources.
